The Rock Project

The work of Yiftach Belsky introduce us with a Sisyphean task he made in the Israeli landscape. Belsky went out for a journey of conquest the soil with his own feet and walked the eighty kilometers separating from his house in the Golan Heights to the highest pick in Israel, the Hermon mountain. Carrying a heavy basalt rock on his back as a backpack or maybe lying as a burden on his shoulders. This activity in which Belsky puts himself under serious physical effort ends with no actual results, indicating the lack of real meaning bounds in an attempt as this.
